Do Toyota's Have Self Park Technology In Australia

Parking just got smarter. Toyota’s Advanced Park takes the stress out of reverse and parallel parking by doing the hard work for you. If your Toyota is equipped with this system, here’s a simple guide to using it confidently and safely.

Advanced Park is a hands-free parking feature that automatically steers your Toyota into a parking spot. All you need to do is monitor the process, manage the brakes, and shift gears when prompted.

Step-by-Step: Using Parallel or Perpendicular Parking Assist

Step 1: Stop Near Your Target Space

Pull up alongside the parking space—either parallel or perpendicular—and stop with your vehicle positioned near the centre of the space. The system works best when the vehicle is about 1 metre away from adjacent vehicles

Step 2: Activate Advanced Park

Press the Advanced Park main switch. The vehicle will scan for suitable parking spots. If it detects one, a box will appear on the multimedia screen. You can tap the box to select or adjust the parking orientation.

Step 3: Select Start

Once a space is selected, press Start. A buzzer will sound, a message will appear on your dashboard, and the system will begin assisting. Release the brake when prompted, and the vehicle will start moving automatically.

Step 4: Follow the Prompts

Keep your foot near the brake and follow the visual instructions on the screen. The system may ask you to shift between drive and reverse. Watch for advice displays that guide you through the entire parking process.

Step 5: Finish the Park

Once parked, change the gear to ‘P’ to complete the process. “Advanced Park Finished” will appear to confirm you’re all set.

Leaving a Parallel Parking Spot with Assistance

With the brake applied and the gear in ‘P’, press the Advanced Park switch.

Use the on-screen arrows to choose your exit direction.

Press Start, and follow the instructions until the system tells you it’s safe to drive out
