What Cars Are Eligible?

In Western Australia, the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) rebate program applies to new electric vehicles (EVs) purchased on or after January 1, 2022, meeting the following criteria:

Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs): Vehicles that are powered solely by electricity from an external source, such as plug-in electric cars.

Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs): Vehicles that have both an electric motor and an internal combustion engine, with a plug to charge the battery from an external power source.

To qualify for the rebate, vehicles must meet certain specifications, including emissions standards and battery capacity requirements.
